Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Stanmore is a faith-filled community that enhances the whole child and ensures they work to their full potential. We ensure our students grow and develop their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, valuing Jesus Christ as the centre of their faith and life.
From preschoolers to grandparents, there is something for everyone in our family and faith program. We endeavour to instill in our students a strong sense of social justice, and we’re proud of our parents who lead by example, generously volunteering their time and resources.
Our parents are an inaugural part of our school community and help with keeping our values of hospitality, respect, compassion and courage.
As a school we celebrate Mass together a number of times each term. These Masses are prepared by the children and their teachers. Families are invited to attend Mass together once a term with the wider school and parish community. Hospitality is served after Mass so that the parish and school community can mingle.
At St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Stanmore, staff, students and parents are committed to making a difference in the world through social justice programs. The ‘Mercy in Action’ group continues to be proactive supporting various charitable organisations including Caritas Australia and the St Vincent de Paul Society.
