As principal of the school, I believe in providing an education that meets the needs of every learner. I am passionate and dedicated toward developing every student’s learning, encompassing all areas: academically, socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
As a small school, your child’s interests and passions are nurtured through the many diverse learning opportunities provided. We ensure that our values of hospitality, respect, compassion and courage, support your child’s learning.
Our staff are committed to helping your child grow in their learning. Teachers work collaboratively with your child to create a dynamic learning environment which allows opportunities for students to strive for their best.
Your child will flourish as part of our passionate and faith-filled Catholic community.
Allison Travers
Principal
St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Stanmore was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1912. The traditional charisms of the Sisters of Mercy; compassion, courage, respect and hospitality are evident in our daily life. These values are linked to our school motto ‘Together’, emphasising the importance of a welcoming and cohesive community.
Our Vision
Together we welcome, inspire and strive for our best.
Our Mission
Inspired by God’s mercy, we are a dynamic and faith-filled Catholic community that creates diverse learning opportunities enabling our students to strive for their best.
Our Values
We are driven by our values of hospitality, courage, respect and compassion.
Our relationship with our Parish Priest, Fr Matthew Meagher and the parish of St Michael’s is very important to us. The school has strong links with the parish through involvement in sacramental programs and family Masses. School Masses are open to members of the parish and provide the opportunity to link the school and parish community through faith celebration.
