Principal’s Message

Welcome to St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Stanmore where we deeply value the partnership between home, school and parish, knowing that collaboration and partnership is essential in helping every child flourish. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do because we are stronger when we learn, grow, and succeed together.

Our learning is centred on the teachings of Christ and inspired by the rich tradition and charism of the Sisters of Mercy. The traditional charisms of the Sisters of Mercy—compassion, courage, respect, and hospitality—are woven into the daily life of our school. These values connect deeply with our motto Together We Inspire and Strive For Our Best, highlighting the importance of a welcoming, inclusive, and cohesive community where every individual feels a sense of belonging.

Working in collaboration allows us to uphold high standards of education and deliver quality teaching and learning practices that cater to the diverse needs of all learners. Guided by these foundations, we are committed to an inclusive and holistic education that nurtures every child spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.

I warmly invite you to explore our website to learn more about our school, our programs, and our community. Families considering St Michael’s for their child are encouraged to contact us to arrange a tour—we would be delighted to welcome you and share the wonderful learning environment we offer.

Our Vision
Together we welcome, inspire and strive for our best.

Our Mission
Inspired by God’s mercy, we are a dynamic and faith-filled Catholic community that creates diverse learning opportunities enabling our students to strive for their best.

Our Values
We are driven by our values of hospitality, courage, respect and compassion.

Our relationship with our Parish Priest, Fr Matthew Meagher and the parish of St Michael’s is very important to us. The school has strong links with the parish through involvement in sacramental programs and family Masses. School Masses are open to members of the parish and provide the opportunity to link the school and parish community through faith celebration.
